Owning a small business is both a gift and a challenge. I am deeply grateful for the support of my family, my incredible team, our loyal clients, and the vendors who help make what we do possible.
We have had our highlights and our lowlights! I started GHE right before the Great Recession and those were some “interesting” times. We have weathered many storms, some literal and some figurative–two floods, a pandemic, two burglaries, and a few collisions with our delivery truck. We’ve moved our HQ five times! We have seen several swings back and forth in our political climate, changes to funding for energy efficiency programs, supply chain challenges, and more.
What else have we seen? Job creation for the most deserving staff in the world. Our managers’ grit, brains and brawn that have made miracles happen here. Weathering a pandemic that sent us unprecedented personal and professional speed bumps. Purchasing our warehouse so that we can double our square footage and serve more customers and support more programs! Endless success stories written by our employees and our happy customers.
How about all the small businesses that keep us running? We are powered by *so many* small businesses, including our repair technicians, printer, packaging supplier and IT firm to name a few. Without you, Green Home Experts wouldn’t be what it is today. Your trust, hard work, and dedication fuel our success. Thank you for being part of this journey.
And to know me is to know my family. My parents, who were the first people in my life to believe in me and have never stopped. I can’t count all the different ways they have shown up for me in my life. My husband who never questioned my ability to make this work. He has supported me through the worst challenges of owning GHE and cheered for me through the rest. And my kiddos! They are my “why”. GHE has given me the freedom and flexibility to be the mom I’ve always wanted to be for them. It’s a treasure that I don’t ever take for granted. Knowing that they’re watching how I conduct business is all I need to work with integrity, passion and respect.

Here is my “why.” We’re all wearing matching good luck shirts to cheer for my husband’s football team on their road to another championship win in 2024. These guys make great cheerleaders for both their parents!
