Last month, I had the opportunity to step away from the day-to-day operations of the warehouse and take an incredible trip to Grand Cayman with my family. It was a chance to recharge, reconnect, and reflect—and I came back with renewed energy and a few fresh takeaways about life, business, and the power of pausing. Grand Cayman is a beautiful place. From the clear turquoise waters and coral reefs to the chill island vibes, Grand Cayman reminded me how important it is to slow down and appreciate the environment around us. And there’s no one in the world I’d rather spend this time with than my husband and our three boys. Because of them, I was snorkeling at night in a bioluminescent bay, kissing stingrays, spotting sea turtles and remembering my “why.” While relaxing on the beach, I found myself thinking about the importance of balance—something that applies just as much in the warehouse as it does in our personal lives. At GHE, we’re always striving to be a company that works hard, delivers excellence, and builds a resilient, supportive team culture. But taking time to rest is what allows us to come back stronger, more focused, and ready to grow. This time away also reminded me how crucial it is to stay nimble and adaptable. Whether it’s navigating the tides (or unexpected weather!) or adjusting to evolving customer needs, we believe in building systems—and teams—that are built to bend, not break. That mindset has helped us weather uncertain times and continue to support our partners with dependable, personalized logistics services. Now that I’m back, I’m excited for what’s ahead. We have big plans this fall—expanding services, growing our team, and continuing to create meaningful jobs through our workforce development initiatives. If you’ve been thinking about working with a fulfillment partner who puts people, purpose, and planet first, I’d love to talk.
In the meantime, thank you for being part of the GHE community. Whether you’re a longtime customer, a referral partner, or someone cheering us on from afar—your support means the world.
Warmly, Maria
