We know that our people are our greatest strength at Green Home Experts. That’s why we created PowerPath, our workforce development program designed to open doors, build skills, and create meaningful opportunities for people of all abilities.
Our journey began in 2019, when we were tasked with staffing up our warehouse to meet growing demands for our kitting and fulfillment services. Instead of looking only at traditional hiring channels, we partnered with community-based organizations and local high school transition programs to connect with individuals who were eager to learn, grow, and contribute.
Through PowerPath, we welcome new team members who have already received hands-on training in warehousing, inventory, order fulfillment, and customer service. These skills prepare them to hit the ground running when they join our team—and we’re proud to watch them thrive.
“PowerPath gives our students the chance to see what they are capable of outside the classroom,” said Dave Paske, Special Education Vocational Coordinator and Transition Specialist. “The confidence and independence they build at Green Home Experts is life-changing, not just for the students but for their families too.”
Each week, students from our partner high school come to Green Home Experts during the school day with a job coach. While they’re here, they work on objectives like teamwork, quality control, and communication, all while gaining hands-on experience in a professional environment. These opportunities help students build confidence and practical skills so they’re ready to enter the workforce after graduation. Many of these students continue with us as employees once they’ve completed school, turning their training into long-term careers.
